The Day a Honeybee Mistook Me for a Tree

Some people have dramatic wildlife stories involving bears, snakes, or monkeys.

Mine involves a single honeybee and an embarrassing amount of panic.

🎥 Watch the video first:

It all started because I wore a green camouflage jersey for my walk. Apparently, I blended into nature a little too well.

Out of nowhere, a honeybee landed on my shirt and refused to leave. In that moment, my brain decided I wasn't a human anymore. I had officially become a portable plant.

Instead of reacting like a calm, rational adult, I started negotiating.

"Please, sir, can you go away? I do not want to get bitten."

Yes... I know it's stung. My vocabulary took an unscheduled vacation while my survival instincts grabbed the microphone.

The bee, meanwhile, remained completely unbothered.

After what felt like an eternity (probably a few seconds), I gently pushed it off my shirt and made a tactical retreat worthy of an action movie. I sprinted to my car, slammed the door, locked it, and sat there catching my breath.

Mission accomplished.

Or so I hope.

I'm still convinced that bee is out there somewhere, plotting his revenge.

The funniest part is that the bee probably had no bad intentions. It likely saw a patch of green, thought, "That looks like a nice place to land," and accidentally became the villain in my personal disaster movie.

So here's today's lesson:

Camouflage works.

Sometimes a little too well.

And if you ever hear me say a bee "bit" someone instead of "stung" them, please remember that fear is not known for improving grammar.
