Some people find therapy in silence.

I find it somewhere between second gear and a perfectly timed downshift.

Driving through Kerala has a way of slowing you down in the best possible way. The roads twist through endless greenery, climb gentle hills, and reveal something new around almost every corner. Before long, you stop thinking about where you're going and start enjoying where you are.

Sometimes a video captures a feeling better than words.

Modern automatic cars are brilliant, especially in city traffic. But on roads like these, I still find myself smiling every time I reach for the gear lever.

A manual transmission makes you part of the drive. You choose the right gear for the climb, downshift before the bend, and feel connected to every kilometre. It's not about driving faster. It's about enjoying the journey a little more.

That day in Kerala wasn't about chasing a destination or ticking another place off a list. It was simply about appreciating a beautiful road, a good drive, and the little moments that make travel memorable.

For me, that's what side quests are all about. Sometimes the best part of the trip isn't where you end up. It's everything that happens along the way.
